Aquatics

  1. Red Cross Lifeguard Class

    March 22, 2018 - March 25, 2018 @ North Lake Natatorium

    Want to learn skills that will help you save lives? Become a certified lifeguard.

    Prerequisite: Minimum age 15. Successful skills test, which includes 300-yard continuous swim; a 10-pound brick retrieval from 7 to 10 feet depth of water followed by a 20-yard return carrying the brick; and treading water for two minutes without using hands. Test must be completed one week before class or must have instructor approval.

    Successful completion of the course will result in American Red Cross Life Guard/First Aid, CPR-Professional Rescuer, and AED certifications.

  2. Saturday Farmers Market, Four Seasons Markets

    Four Seasons Markets were established to develop and manage European-style markets where ranchers, farmers, specialty food producers and artisanal craftsmen can interact with customers and other vendors in a colorful, exciting, family friendly atmosphere that mimics the village markets popular throughout Europe. Shop the market every Saturday in the Irving Arts Center's south parking lot, then cool off while viewing the galleries.

    Irving Chorale’s annual collaboration with Irving ISD’s Elementary Honor Choir reimagines children’s folk songs of years gone by. The Irving Chorale will present “Five Days That Changed the World” by Bob Chilcott, a five-movement piece combining adult and children’s voices.

  1. Teen Jam: Eggs 'N Jam

    March 24, 2018, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Heritage Aquatic Center

    Teens can enjoy an evening of music, swimming and fun at the indoor pool at Heritage Aquatic Center (200 S. Jefferson St.). Win special goodies and prizes during our underwater egg hunt, including candy and tickets to area attractions. Complimentary pizza and soda will be served. Please wear appropriate swimwear and bring a towel or change of clothes. Open to all middle and high school students. Free admission with valid IPAR card or school ID.

    The City of Irving offers area families a fun, free experience with the Citywide Egg Hunt! Take part in egg hunts for children with thousands of toy-filled and candy-filled eggs, as well as photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo and craft activities. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
