      The exhibition aims to explore the idea of travel and American culture through interactive photography. Vernacular photographs taken in the 1950s and ‘60s are featured and paired with contemporary photographs Natalie Slater shot along the modern day Route 66, from the same locations and vantage points. The images are backlit and overlaid inside interactive light boxes to create a unique road trip experience, with a view towards both past and present. Exhibit located in Carpenter Lobby.   1. Patriotic Salute Concert

    July 2, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ City Hall

    The award-winning 36th Infantry Division Band will present an outdoor “Patriotic Salute Concert” at 7 p.m., on the east lawn of Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. The 90-minute concert will feature both the 36th Infantry Division’s Rhythm and Boots Big Classic Jazz Band and Concert Band. The band is a National Guard unit out of Austin, Texas. Food concessions will be available. Admission and parking are free.
